In order to maintain or increase the value of a ship, conversion or modernization work must be carried out over time.
ÖSWAG carries out conversions, extensions or modernizations professionally and on schedule. Our shipyard is equipped with workshops and technical facilities, which are necessary for a flexible and smooth stay.
Many criteria are already taken into account during planning and construction, so that a fairly accurate cost estimate including labor can be produced.
Proposals are prepared in compliance with standards, specifications and guidelines and implemented after approval by the client.

Complete renovation
The complete renovation is the top class of all renovation works.
You have an old worn-out ship and the appropriate small change? You want to renovate the ship from scratch? We will be happy to support you in your building project.
In the case of a general refurbishment , often only the hull of the ship remains, all important installations are no longer state of the art and have to be renewed.

ÖSWAG has extensive experience in the holistic analysis and design of drive systems.
We handle the changeover to a modern Stage V diesel engine (contribution to significant exhaust gas reduction). We also carry out exhaust gas aftertreatment (diesel particulate filter or SCR catalytic converter = additional emission limitation) .

All plans of our newbuildings and conversions are in our archives - by now we own the largest collection of shipbuildings on the Danube. Due to these records we are able to react on rebuildings and repairs very quickly.
If the plans of a ship are not available in our archives, we have the possibility to take a close look at the ship by means of modern 3D surveying.
