New motorization - grain ship
This ship was built around 45 years ago at the Korneuburg shipyard in cooperation with the Linz shipyard and was powered by two "Simmering Graz Pauker" engines (built around 1980).
Installation of two motors and two generators.
Challenges
- Replacement of old gearboxes with horizontal offset with new ones with vertical offset.
- The motors had to be integrated into the existing ship structure and repositioned.
- The installation of an exhaust gas purification system in the engine room.
- The installation of the new generators and their synchronization.
- The conversion of the two water boxes (Bb and Stb) for the installation of the Blokland radiators and the NRF radiators.
