MS Negrelli
Since 2005, the ship (built in 1966) has served as a mobile event venue and is now being converted for use as a floating fish breeding station as part of a project to protect the sturgeons in the ÖSWAG Werft Linz .
Completion date: end of 2025 / beginning of 2026
Activities:
- Both holds are converted for fish farming and for keeping mother fish.
- A new superstructure for the laboratory container (for breeding) is erected above the hold.
- A fresh coat of paint ensures a pleasing appearance.
- Access bridge and scaffolding allow safe access for people.
- The double floor in the holds, the holding tank, the fresh water tank, the ballast system and the water and waste water piping in the lower deck will be replaced.
- The technical design takes aquaristics into account.
- Partially new cabling, an emergency power supply and a control cabinet for the control system ensure an uninterrupted power supply.
